Our accommodation options provide different levels of support to suit your individual needs.
We can help find you a place to live, or match you with housemates in one of our supported accommodations. Our supported accommodation options are tailored to meet your specific needs and comforts. These levels of support are offered through three different accommodation options.
If you’re unsure about which option is best for you, we can help you find the accommodation support that will work best for your needs. Our goal is to make sure you receive the right kind of support, where and when you need it.
The Disability Support Pension (DSP) in Australia is adjusted twice a year, in March and September, to help keep up with the cost of living. Interaction will adjust participant Board and Lodging contributions in line with these increases.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation provides 24/7 support that can be adapted to best suit your needs.
Our 24-hour support model includes assistance or supervision with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and transport. In addition to supports for daily living, our experienced Support Workers can provide a non-active overnight stay.
For those requiring a higher level of support, our accommodation services offer flexible options such as active night shifts, sleepover shifts and high‑intensity daily personal activities, all tailored to each participant’s unique needs.
- Managing behaviours of concern
- Personalised support of complex health issues
This kind of accommodation is best suited for participants with complex and high support needs.
If you are interested in High Support Accommodation, or any of the other accommodation services we offer, we can help you decide which option is best suited to you.
Drop-In Supported Accommodation
If you want to live with housemates or still live in your own home and receive support with things like cooking, shopping or going to appointments, then Drop-In Supported Accommodation is the perfect choice for you.
Drop-In Supported Accommodation can be funded through your NDIS plan and has been designed to provide you with practical and flexible assistance – supporting your goals for where and how you want to live.
These supports can be tailored to everyday living needs, or to help you develop skills that build your confidence and independence.
Our most popular option for this program is where participants are matched up with housemates to live together in one of Interaction’s NDIS-funded homes. This is perfect for people who want to be independent, but still socialise with people you live with and have someone support you when you need it.
If you’re not sure where to start, we can help you choose the type of support that will work best. Our goal is to help you live as independently as you want, and provide support where you need it.
Supports can include:
- Practical support for shopping, budgeting and attending appointments
- Skills development that increases confidence and allows you to transition into independent living
Drop-In Supported Accommodation in YOUR OWN home
Drop-In Supported Accommodation is an NDIS-funded support option for people living in their own home or with housemates who want practical, flexible assistance, without the need for around-the-clock care.
A skilled, friendly support worker comes to you at agreed times to help with everyday tasks, build your independence, and support your goals for how and where you want to live. It’s real support, delivered on your schedule, in the comfort of your own home.
For NSW NDIS participants, this service can be funded under Supported Independent Living (SIL) or Assistance with Daily Life, depending on your individual plan.
Our drop-in supported accommodation could be the perfect fit if you:
- Want to stay in your own home and maintain your independence in NSW
- Need flexible, practical support with everyday tasks and routines
- Want to build skills and confidence to live more independently over time
- Are an NDIS participant looking for support that works around your goals and lifestyle
