Get to know Who is Supporting You or Your Loved One?

At Interaction, we know that trusting someone to care for your loved one is a deeply personal decision. That’s why we believe you deserve to feel confident, informed and supported every step of the way when choosing the right provider.

Our Support Workers are carefully selected and extensively trained to ensure they are well-prepared to support a wide range of needs, with skill, safety and compassion at the heart of everything they do. Their training includes, but is not limited to:

  • First Aid and CPR
  • Safety Intervention Training
  • Dementia Capable Care
  • Prader-Willi Syndrome Support
  • Complex Bowel and Wound Care
  • Diabetes Management (including practical disability-focused training)
  • Dysphagia Support and IDDSI Training
  • Emergency Medication and Epilepsy Essentials
  • Enteral Feeding and Ventilator Management
  • Tracheostomy and Suctioning Care
  • Subcutaneous Injections

Beyond their qualifications, our Support Workers are compassionate people. They take the time to get to know each participant as an individual, building strong relationships that allow them to provide person-centred support.

At Interaction, it’s not just about care, it’s about empowering people.

How We Match The Right Staff To Your Loved One

When a participant and their support network reach out to learn more about our services, we take the time to truly get to know them. We listen carefully to who they are, their goals, their preferences around support staff, past experiences that may shape their choices, their cultural background and what matters most to them.

From there, we thoughtfully select staff who not only meet the participant’s needs, but who we believe will genuinely connect and go above and beyond in their support. We understand that choosing the right staff is a critical and deeply personal decision for many participants and families. That’s why we don’t choose for you, we choose with you, every step of the way.

Eyes on Our Clinical Lead – Registered Nurse

At Interaction, quality care starts with strong clinical leadership. That’s why we have a full‑time Clinical Lead – Registered Nurse who oversees all of our Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Drop‑In Supported homes.

Our Clinical Lead plays a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of care across our accommodation services. She reviews and oversees medication management for all participants, ensures staff are thoroughly trained and supported in medication practices and provides guidance aligned with best practice standards in the sector. She also stays up to date with emerging advancements and technologies to continually enhance the quality and safety of support we provide.

When participants join our accommodation services, they meet directly with our Clinical Lead to discuss their individual medication management plans. Behind the scenes, she works closely with the support teams to ensure staff are well‑informed, confident, and regularly trained in medication management—so participants receive safe, consistent, and person‑centred care every day.
