Social and community participation are important parts of an NDIS plan. This participation can involve social outings with friends, joining local clubs, gaining work experience, or volunteering in the community.

Community participation has several positive benefits, such as improved mental health, physical wellbeing, and achieving quality of life outcomes or goals. These supports can be tailored to each individual’s hobbies and interests, making the social interactions engaging, fun, and fulfilling.

An Interaction team member can work closely with participants to plan, organise, and coordinate community participation in Penrith or any other part of Sydney.

Travel Training in Penrith

NDIS travel training is a specific service designed to support participants in learning to travel independently. This may involve learning to use buses, trains, and other services with confidence.

Travel Training can be personalised to individual needs and include practical support such as accompanied travel, route planning, and becoming more familiar with local transport services. The goal of Interaction’s NDIS travel training is to help participants gain the skills and confidence needed to travel independently and access their local community.
