With a breadth of experience across multiple healthcare settings spanning almost 32 years, Brett has in-depth experience managing complex organisations with a focus on patient-centred care. Since joining Interaction Disability Services as CEO in July 2020, Brett has focused on improving governance and the provision of high-quality services. His passion for providing services that meet the needs of people receiving them continues, now with the focus on assisting people living with disability to live the best life they choose.
Brett has established connections within the Disability sector, including being a member of the National Disability Service State Committee, and he is also a Director of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Australia Association, and has been co-opted as a Trustee of the International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organisation.
These appointments enhance Brett’s ability to provide advocacy for people living with disability locally, nationally and internationally.
Kylie is a senior operational leader with a 20-year career dedicated to ensuring excellence in the community services sector. Her professional journey began with frontline coordination, providing me with a deep, ground-level understanding of service delivery that continues to inform her decision-making today.
Kylie is committed to creating environments where quality and compliance requirements are met and become part of a culture of continuous improvement.
She believes that successful operations are built on a foundation of respect for clients, for staff and for the mission of the organisation.
Cindy brings extensive experience in human resources and workforce management within the disability and community services sector. Cindy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, is AHRI-accredited, and a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW), with additional qualifications in Return to Work coordination, work health and safety, payroll management, and as a certified Mental Health First Aider.
Cindy has decades of experience in strategic human resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and workforce development. She works closely with leaders across the organisation to foster a culture grounded in integrity, respect, openness, accountability, and a person-centred approach.
Cindy is passionate about empowering teams and creating workplaces where every person feels valued and supported. Committed to lifelong learning and continuous improvement, she ensures HR strategies create safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplaces that promote both staff wellbeing and organisational.

Lauren Asmussen is an experienced Executive Officer with a strong background in governance, executive support, and organisational operations. She works closely with senior leaders to enable effective decision-making, ensure sound administrative and governance practices and supports the delivery of strategic priorities.
Lauren brings a structured, detail-focused approach to her role, with strengths in stakeholder engagement, Board and committee support, policy and briefing preparation and process improvement. Lauren has been a part of Interaction for more than two decades and joined the Executive Leadership team in 2016.
Lauren is passionate about empowering the voice, rights and community inclusion of individuals with intellectual disability. This is reflected in her establishment of a participant-led Easy Read policy committee.
ACA and ACCA (Australia and UK) qualified finance executive with outstanding record of accomplishment in leadership, financial management, operations management, process and systems improvement. Gideon has gained experienced internationally across a broad range of organisations and business cultures in publicly listed and privately owned large multi-nationals and SME’s.
Kim began her career in business administration, marketing and accounting and after receiving experience in each area then moved into her favourite roles in business management. She loves to work within a team and strives to achieve a positive and supporting working environment where every member of the team is supported.Kim said: ‘My goal is to create an environment that allows our clinicians to concentrate on what they do best, working with their participants to provide a high quality service and achieve the best outcomes possible.’
She loves to liaise with our clinicians, participants, families and stakeholders to improve service areas wherever possible.
