About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to join our accommodation service in Marrickville. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are empathetic, reliable, and passionate about supporting people with psychosocial disabilities to achieve meaningful goals and improve their quality of life.

About You
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct support to individuals with psychosocial or mental health disabilities, promoting recovery and stability
Support participants with daily living activities, community engagement, and emotional wellbeing
Apply trauma-informed and recovery-oriented practice
Use positive behaviour support strategies and de-escalation techniques when required
Maintain professional boundaries and contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment
Communicate respectfully and effectively with participants, colleagues, and stakeholders
Accurately complete documentation, incident reports, and daily progress notes (use Microsoft Office confidently)
Work flexibly across a variety of shifts – including short, long, weekend, public holiday, sleepover, and active wake shifts, to meet participant and service needs
Candidate Requirements
Experience supporting people with mental health or psychosocial disabilities
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practice
Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma in Mental Health, Community Services, Disability, or related field — Assistant in Nursing (AIN) qualifications also highly regarded
Ability to follow individual support and behaviour support plans
Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver’s licence
A comprehensively insured and registered vehicle
Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility to work varied shift lengths – including short, long, weekend, public holiday, sleepover, and active wake shifts
Preferred
Experience supporting individuals with complex or dual diagnoses (mental health and intellectual disability)
Additional training in crisis intervention, medication administration, or positive behaviour support
Knowledge of person-centred active support frameworks
