People & Culture Advisor

We are currently seeking a detail oriented, highly organised and customer focused People & Culture Advisor to join the People & Culture team. The role of the Advisor is to understand and interpret the SCHADS award and to apply your understanding across the business to better support our organisation.

Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will be responsible for providing key support to improve systems and processes, ensure compliance with awards and policies, maintain data integrity, participate in performance meetings whilst also delivering exceptional customer service. You will be supported by the People & Culture Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in day-to-day matters relating to SCHADS award interpretation including allowances, policies, systems and processes.
  • Your interpretation will assist in ensuring accuracy in all payroll transactions.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to stakeholders whilst promoting teamwork and upholding company values.
  • Proactively engage with internal stakeholders in all stages of the employee life cycle.
  • Respond consistently, professionally, and promptly to all queries/requests and escalate where required.
  • Collaborate closely with payroll and rostering on people processes and updates.
  • Support with data accuracy, data testing and data discrepancies within our people data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, contributing to solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Be proactive in work, health and safety and be a safety ambassador.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience in award interpretations, with Schads award experience essential.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms – Employment Hero and Keypay is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to deliver customer service and continual improvements.
  • Effective organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to manage a range of concurrent tasks with conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
