An update on our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

In these challenging times, it is important that we keep you up to date with how Interaction is managing the current COVID-19 situation. Rest assured that we are following the advice of relevant authorities to ensure the safety of Interaction staff, the people we serve, and their families.

We have no one who has tested positive to COVID-19. The measures we are putting into place are to reduce its spread and impact on Interaction and, most importantly, the people we serve.

Over recent weeks, we have been steadily implementing measures to ensure continuity of support to the people we serve. We have been issuing health packs to Interaction houses, reducing close contact between house residents and support staff, and encouraging the people we serve to avoid crowds as per government recommendations.

Our office-based staff have been requested to work from home and reduce contact with colleagues by making use of phone and online meetings where possible.

We have also asked that any person who is unwell, who has recently returned from overseas, or who has been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, to follow the advice of health authorities.

Our reception hours will continue to remain the same (8.30am to 5pm) for the foreseeable future as we work hard to minimise the impact on support services. You can continue to contact Interaction via phone or email as per usual.
