We are currently seeking one full-time and one part-time Senior Psychologist/Behaviour Support Practitioner and Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Behaviour and Allied Health Services team, casual will also be considered.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, assessment/intervention and organisation skills. Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a range of people and their
families/stakeholders, with complex needs, to achieve meaningful outcomes is essential.
What we are looking for:
Demonstrated experience and sound knowledge working with people with complex needs, including
challenging behaviour, mental ill health and trauma
Experience in the assessment, design and delivery of positive behaviour support
Demonstrated skills and experience in computer and software applications including Microsoft Word,
Outlook and Excel
Experience working with people who have intellectual or developmental disability
Extensive experience in managing caseloads with tight deadlines. Ability to prioritise caseloads in a flexible manner according to client need
High level of communication, consultation skills, time management, analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to liaise with a range of agencies to negotiate and achieve positive client outcomes
Current Driver’s Licence
Essential Criteria:
Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Commitment and ability to work with a range of people, their families/stakeholders, with complex needs, to achieve meaningful outcomes
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team as well as autonomously
Computer literate with capability in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
Full registration with AHPRA (for psychology applicants)
Current driver’s license
Taking ownership of client work and associated responsibilities
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience in the Disability sector
Experience working within the NDIS
Experience in the assessment, design and delivery of positive behaviour supports
NDIS Practitioner Identification Number (if previously obtained)
A thorough understanding of current disability issues, NDIS and the National Standards for Disability
Experience in a wide variety of Psychological/Behaviour assessments
Additional Criteria Senior Psychologist role only:
Full registration with AHPRA and eligible to provide psychological Medicare services
Eligible to supervise provisional psychologists
Experience in individual/group therapy and psychometric testing
Current registered supervisor of Provisional Psychologists with AHPRA
Additional Criteria Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner role only:
NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner level proficient or above
At least three years experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
Experience in a variety of assessments

Flexibility in work hours, days and a balance of working from the office and working from home is
possible. Minimum 3 days per week up to 5 days a week positions available. Part-time or casual positions available if preferred.
As a Senior member of our Behaviour and Allied Health team, you will develop your skills and knowledge across a variety of presentations from children to adults. You will work with your participants to really know them and understand their support networks and goals. You will also provide positive guidance and training to our less experienced clinicians.
As well as our training and induction program you will be a valued member of our Senior Clinician
team. You will be provided with opportunities to observe, discuss and learn from the whole Senior
team. Learning opportunities will be consistent and ongoing throughout your career at Interaction.
Our administration team will handle all of the client onboarding and invoicing leaving you with more time to focus on your clients’ wellbeing and support.
As well as above award remuneration you will also be reimbursement for mileage/personal vehicle use.
