About the Opportunity

The People & Culture Officer / Coordinator provides high-quality administrative and operational support across the People & Culture function and reports directly to the General Manager – People & Culture. The role supports the delivery of effective HR, payroll, work health and safety, and workers’ compensation processes, contributing to a positive, compliant, and inclusive workplace culture.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their People & Culture career who is keen to develop their skills across the full employee lifecycle within a supportive, purpose-driven organisation. We’re flexible and open to considering the right candidate who brings enthusiam and a proactive approach. Your attention to detail and committment will make a meaningful impact on our workplace culture.

About You

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact for HR-related queries, providing timely and accurate advice.

• Managing the P&C inbox and responding to enquiries efficiently.

• Coordinate HR administration, onboarding, contracts, compliance, and maintaining accurate employee records.

• Supporting end-to-end recruitment, including drafting job ads and position descriptions to coordinating interviews.

• Assist with P&C projects, including annual employee engagement survey, learning and development, and inductions.

• Work closely with our payroll team to ensure accurate capturing and processing and compliance with the SCHADS Award.

• Providing hands-on support across all People & Culture functions.

Candidate Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources preferred but not essential.

• Experienced in Microsoft office suite

• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.

• Experience using HRIS platforms – Employment Hero preferred.

• Understanding of employment life cycle.

• Basic knowledge of payroll processes and collaboration with our payroll team.

• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
