About the Role

We currently have several casual opportunities available at Interaction working 1:1 with participants supporting with community participation and daily activities.

  • Empower participants to achieve their chosen goals
  • Work with participants and their family in community
  • Support participants with their daily activities and personal care
  • Represent Interaction in the community by demonstrating our core values; Integrity, Respect, Openness, Person-centred, Life-long learning.

About You

  • You have experience supporting people with Intellectual Disability or other relevant experience
  • You have resilience to episodes of challenging behaviours
  • You have willingness to complete personal care tasks such as showering and toileting when required
  • You can work autonomously and cooperatively within a team
  • You have flexibility to work across a range of shifts including weekday, evening, weekends and public holidays
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have strong computer skills with capability to use client database systems and liaise with coordinators via email and Microsoft Teams

Compliance requirements

  • You have a current First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain before commencement and will maintain this throughout your employment
  • You have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Check or willing to obtain before commencement and will maintain this throughout your employment
  • You have up to date COVID Vaccination Requirements as mandated by NSW Health
  • You have a current driver’s licence and a reliable insured vehicle
  • You have Australian Citizenship, permanent residency or working rights in Australia
